Blog Candy and an update....

So did I fall off of the face of the Earth? No. I thought about jumping... but could not find the edge. Instead, I had my gallbladder removed!!! And what do you know... I am feeling less like jumping! I am recovering nicely.
However, I have just not had the motivation to craft! Does that mean I have not had my hands on some rubber??? No.
Lucky me (and of course lucky her), but I just so happen to be extra goodie gum drop friends with Katie Cotton over at PaperMakeup.com... and she has TONS of rubber... just needing a friend. Well, it needed a cutting. And I have just been sitting, recovering! So, we met for lunch a few days with the kiddos and I picked up lots of fun rubber to cut.
Today she mentioned I should blog candy some of this rubber! How nice of her!

My sweet 5 year old Son made this card for me... He has promised that he will be my helper, or my 'loader' like this guy. He made this card, so that I know he is my go to guy after my surgery.

Update

Hi Friends. I promise I have not kicked the bucket.

I am struggling day to day. But getting by. My weight is down to 94lbs, I am weak and fatigued. My Doctor's for whatever reason, can not seem to get motivated to take this gallbladder out. I go in today for a surgical consult, and I am hoping I am scheduled way sooner than later for removal. I was not keen on the idea at first. But at this point, I would let a monkey operate on me.

Saturday Modern Sugar Challenge

A Saturday Challenge!

This Saturday, like every Saturday is a Challenge Day at Modern Sugar Blvd. Fun, Fun & More Fun. This Challenge was to make a card for a #10 Envelope... Well, I used the actual envelope to make the card instead. This Card is a Seed holder. The New line of Garden Images at Modern Sugar are just gorgeous. Prismacolor Pencils were used as medium.

A wee little health update. I had my Hida scan and my gallbladder is low functioning... 19%. I am waiting for the Doctor now to refer me to a surgeon. He is slow moving. I am still in pain.

Just a Card today.

I am trying to get all caught up on everything I have been wanting to accomplish! Still no word from the Doctor :( I think he called this morning while I was sleeping. And I am sorry but sleep is crucial. So today is just a card posting kind of day. This is my Modern Sugar Bloggin Momma. MSB Saturday Challenge and an Update!!!

Me Update: I had my ultrasound on Thursday. Surprisingly, it hurt. I have a small bruise near my ribs from it, but other than that it was not all that bad. I will not know my results until the beginning of this week. So I am now waiting for the Doctor to call. :(

MSB Saturday Challenge and an Update!!!

Well lovelies, Modern Sugar Blvd. is having a Challenge today! Get over there this afternoon and show that challenge who is boss! My Card is really simple. I followed the sketch. I lack motivation.
I have been trying to continue playing with paper this week. It has really helped with all of the doctor's visits and keeping my mind in a positive direction!
The Doctor seems to think there may be something going on with my liver. I have been drained of all the blood in my body! Hahaha. I have massive, literally, bruising on my arms from the lab tests. But I am hopeful.

Well, I had the stomach flu - after pneumonia, yes, it has been my year!
ah well.
This has slowed me down from my already snail like pace!

The Greeting Farm Blog Hop

Rock The Farm Hand Carved Glass Jar!!

I am a Extra-Large Greeting Farm Fan! I am very Excited for the big Blog Hop Today.

My project is a Hand carved Glass Jar for my homegirl Kel. She is starting a Rockin club at our LSS (and online if you are interested!)... details are in my post below. I figure she can use this jar in her classes... filling it with treats, using it for contest name entries... etc!

Close up of Farm Anya!

This technique is super easy but time consuming! Simply stamp your images onto copy paper, and tape them to the inside of the jar. Using the EK Success Inscribo tool to etch the glass following the guideline of the stamped image.

Digital Free-Bee By Dustin Pike

Had fun with this Digital Free Bee from Dustin Pike... check him out on my Blog Roll to the right. My Prismacolor Pencils were calling me, so I used them on this Bee. I love the Digital Stamps!

Cards made by a 5 year old!

My 5 year old son loves to craft... Let's face it, we all craft because we don't want to grow up and put the crayons away!!! My Bff and owner of Paper Makeup stamps gave him this monster for his birthday... He has inked it a few times... better than I do with new stamps! He likes to color his images, but he has been dying to make a card using my nesties. He is a big fan of die cuts and punches. He made this card himself, using my cuttlebug (I helped with the plates) and we found a scrap piece of pattern paper, and he matched his colors HIMSELF!!!

He wanted to make a card that had the Monster telling on his sister... he said that is what the Monster is doing... but we were unsure how to accomplish that. So I said, why don't you find a punch that the monster can point at... I suggested a flower... NAH... How 'bout a rocket! and then we found some 'stars' in our glitter box!

Then we got drippy with some glue!!!!

Hunny Bunny

What a crazy year this has been!?! I finally got back into the swing of things, and actually did a blog post or two... and life handed me a little scare! My sweet bunny had a small seizure last week.. and boy did it start a snowball rolling. She is absolutely fine and healthy - Thank GOD. And I did thank HIM, often. And continue to. But she had a ton of appointments and tests... she was a trooper. So needless to say, she is fine, and I am all out of sorts now!!! :)

Asian Style Necklace

I have been trying my hand at jewelry. I made some rockin bracelets. so fun. So I thought I would check out try my hand a necklace... I made this for an awesome chic online who hosted a swap I was in recently. I used leather cord and a charm for a closure.
