Asian Style Necklace

I have been trying my hand at jewelry. I made some rockin bracelets. so fun. So I thought I would check out try my hand a necklace... I made this for an awesome chic online who hosted a swap I was in recently. I used leather cord and a charm for a closure.

Here are some of my bracelets the pictures are terrible... my little sister and I took them super fast in bad lighting/camera settings etc.

Soldier Origami Box

This is my attempt at the Origami Box. I am going to fill it with toy soldiers! I am also going to add a ball chain to the dog tags. I just love this set by The Greeting Farm. The side view shows the box, made with one sheet of paper! The lid with another.

Dahlia Fold Mini Pizza Box

Just a small post today. I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Here is my first project! So easy. We will be doing the dahlia fold in my stamp camp this weekend!

I am alive...

I know it has been a long while since I last posted. Life has come up and bit me in the behind! I recently lost a dear sweet Uncle. I come from a very close family, crazy as we are. My cousin that I love like a sister and her brother had to bury their Father, very soon after burying their Mother. It was hard to see. The trip to Michigan was crazy as usual, and being home is heavenly. However, the drive home was disastrous. We just happened to be heading back to the Carolinas during the snow storm of the century... yes it is above 80 now, but the snow storm was... a you know what.

Being from Michigan, I know you are saying, oh whatever you have seen it before. No, no I have not, because in Michigan we have salt and plows, and people who have driven in snow before. so yea. We did find ourselves in a ditch and thank God for the kindness of strangers. I love Southern Gentlemen. And we eventually parked ourselves at a warm hotel about 30 minutes (much much more in the snow) because it turned out we had no power back at home. Thank God for good friends, who called late that night worried about us, and let us know we probably were out of power!!!

We are home now, but I am under the weather. And the weather has been gorgeous. James Paul did enjoy his snow day though!

My lil sister and I share the same love for The Wizard of Oz. We are complete opposites in every other way. (she's a blond by the way) I took her to see it when she was 5 on my college campus, and she cried.

This is a picture of my Mother after she gave my Daughter her first bath. Grandma came down from Michigan for the birth of both of my children, and was the first to give each of them a bath... it's a Grandma thing I guess.

My sweet Baby Girl & her Loving Big Brother

My son is an amazing, amazing, amazing Big Brother. He really loves her, it is not just that he likes her for a minute and gets bored. He truly loves her, he is so concerned about her crying. He 'babysits' her while she is in her chair. She loves him too. He holds her everyday, and she smiles and coos at him, and she stares at him while he babysits. He is really good. I hope they have this kind of relationship forever. I kind of think they might. He has officially changed his name to "BIG brother" (also his name on Wii), and he refers to her as "OUR baby". And he means mine and his, not his Dad... hahah. He tells on Daddy when it comes to the baby. "Daddy is doing this or that to OUR baby", and he is so stressed about it. Our poor sweet girl, she will likely never have a boyfriend, between her big brother and crazy Dad.

My Bind it all Anya Book. I used the long Rectangle Nestie for the Cover, and magnetic closures.

The Inside Pages of my Book. Each says, "I hereby Certify that....". I may still decorate the Anya/Ian's, or just include markers with the gift. Not sure yet. Each page is perforated.

I just love the 'Wishing Tree' set from the Greeting Farm. I used the Labels One Nestie, Copics to Color, Spicas (hard to see), and SU paper and Ink.

Easy Butterfly Note Cards

I made these little pretties for my Grandma who loves Butterflies! They are embossed with Nesties on SU paper, and the Martha Butterfly punch layered. They are much prettier IRL.
