Crazy Company Countdown... POST FOURTEEN INKADINKADO

Here I am at Company 14... it is so hard to decide which to do next. I have been making a few things for my Grandma. She LOVES Angels and pink.
So this Inkadinkado Set is Perfect!!!

I used my scorpal for some simple lines, and angels wings shimmerz. I also copic colored my pearls to match.

Crazy Company Countdown... POST TWELVE BELLES 'N WHISTLES

Thank you to everyone for all of your kind words. I am still struggling, but re-gaining a bit of myself everyday.

I have not stopped working on my Daughter's Cookbook, it has preoccupied me. I have learned so much about what is in my families favorite dishes, and heard lots of other stories when I called to get recipes from relatives.
It is coming along really nicely. In keeping with the cooking theme. Today's company is Belles 'n Whistles.This is Tania Baking. She is too sweet. 'Sweeter than apple Pie' in fact. She is copic colored, and I used the same paper (graphic 55?) from my recipe books, available at Funkie Munkie Scraps. Where I will be teaching the cook book bind it all class on the 30th.

Funny how life grabs you, just at the moment you wish it would not.
I have been trying to get back into the groove of general life, and get back to enjoying some ME time with my craft room!
However, this week My Family experienced a Loss. I am grief stricken, heart broken and have struggled all week.
'Sometimes life just be that way.'

Getting Back to the Regularly Scheduled Program...

Happy 2010 Y'all.
I will be getting back to the regularly scheduled program this week!

It has been a looong Holiday for us! My husband took a long vacation over the Holiday break and had a tonsillectomy and another ectomy south of the border! So our Holiday was not-so-much vacation as it was recovery room!
I have not been exactly lazy, but crafting has been minimal! I have been feverishly trying to gather recipes for my Daughters Cookbook. I am trying to create a family legacy!
Gathering recipes from some relatives is like pulling teeth!!!
I will get them all though, I am determined!
I have some important ones, My family Mole and Tamale Recipes... and the beloved Carrot Cake. Mostly because I already had those!!!! ;)
I am going to bind them into a recipe book. Speaking of binding... I have been playing with a few new binding things... More on that to come. . . But you may see some leather hand stitched bindings from me soon enough!!!I am planning on teaching these Bind-it-all recipes books at the Funkie Munkie, either end of January or first of February as part of my Dynamic Dollar Economical Classes!!! You get all of the recipes inside too!!! 32 spices and sauces, and 30+ recipes as well as blank formatted pages for filling in your own!!

MIA for the Holiday

I am slightly MIA for this Holiday.
Why? Well, Some of you may know. This time last year... I was at the hospital receiving the best Holiday gift God offers.
My precious Daughter! She will be ONE this Saturday. And I will be 29 on Sunday. Oh yeah, and there is Thanksgiving!!! So we are busy busy.

Verve has amazing style that is recognizable instantly. I ADORE the stamps at Verve. I have a huge wish list there. Recently I WON, YES WON this set on the Verve Blog!

Verve Holiday Parade Project: Stamped Candle and Glass Votives

Many have asked how I do the glass etching. I do not use the creme stuff. I use the EK success tool. This can be purchased at Michael's.

I stamp what I want on a piece of paper and tape it to the inside of the glass.
Then I trace over it with the diamond tipped tool. When I have finished. I wash it off.

When I saw Mo's Angel.... I knew my Granny would want me to download her immediately and send her something made with her. I wish you could see how really gorgeous this turned out. I used copics to color and I airbrushed my Granny's favorite color - PINK - all around the edges.
